The online webinar “Scaling up Arts on Prescription Models: From Evidence to Regional Implementation” aims to explore how Arts on Prescription (AoP) initiatives can move from pilot experiences to structured, large-scale integration within health systems across Europe. The session will build on recent developments in countries such as Greece, as well as experiences from the Baltic Sea region and the United Kingdom, highlighting how culture-based interventions are increasingly supported by a growing evidence base and gaining recognition within policy frameworks.

The discussion will bring together a range of perspectives, including institutional, research and regional actors, to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of play. Particular attention will be given to emerging findings from large-scale studies, as well as to governance, funding and implementation mechanisms that can support the sustainability of AoP models over time.
A key focus of the webinar will be on the role of regional and local health authorities, which are central to translating policy into practice and ensuring the effective delivery of integrated, community-based interventions. Through concrete examples from across Europe, the session will illustrate how regions can act as enablers of innovation, facilitating collaboration between the health and cultural sectors and adapting approaches to local contexts and needs.

Organised as part of the CultureAndHealth Platform—co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by Culture Action Europe in partnership with EUREGHA—the webinar will also contribute to ongoing efforts in awareness raising, capacity building and stakeholder engagement. It will provide a space for dialogue between policymakers, practitioners and experts, with the objective of strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration and supporting the uptake of Arts on Prescription within broader health and wellbeing strategies at both EU and regional level.
