Included here due to form limitations:
nThe Bulgarian Public Health Association (BPHA) will launch the European Public Health Week (EUPHW) 2026 through a national kick-off communication published on the BPHA website. The initiative has a twofold aim: first, to introduce the thematic focus of EUPHW 2026; and second, to present to the wider public and the Bulgarian public health community the statement adopted at the 18th European Public Health Conference: “Investing for sustainable health and well-being.” The Helsinki statement will be translated and presented in Bulgarian as a call to action affirming our shared commitment to more resilient society.
nHealth must be at the centre of everything – and in all policies. Building on BPHA’s long-standing engagement in EUPHW and its commitment to the EUPHA Strategy 2025–2030, this communication aims to translate the spirit of the statement into national dialogue and community awareness.

Full event description:The Bulgarian Public Health Association (BPHA) will launch the European Public Health Week (EUPHW) 2026 through a national kick-off communication published on the BPHA website. The launch is preceded by coordinated communication across BPHA’s regional branches and by information campaigns encouraging members, institutions and partners to register activities and actively contribute to EUPHW.
nThe initiative has a twofold aim: first, to introduce the thematic focus of EUPHW 2026; and second, to present to the wider public and the Bulgarian public health community, following our new communication model, the statement adopted at the 18th European Public Health Conference: “Investing for sustainable health and well-being.” The Helsinki statement will be translated and presented in Bulgarian as a call to action affirming our shared commitment to building healthier, fairer and more resilient societies.
nThe launch of EUPHW also provides an opportunity to introduce BPHA’s renewed model of communication and collaboration with the professional community. In this strategic context, the Association has articulated a framework for action based on the so-called “four Ps”: Partnership – Probity – Professional friendship – Proactivity. This model reflects both the long-standing tradition of the Association and its commitment to openness, dialogue and effective cooperation with institutions, academia, civil society and professional networks at both national and European levels.
nHealth must be at the centre of everything – and in all policies. Building on BPHA’s long-standing engagement in the European Public Health Week and its commitment to the EUPHA Strategy 2025–2030, this communication has the ambition to translate the spirit of the statement into national dialogue and community awareness. By linking its key messages to current public health priorities in Bulgaria, the initiative seeks to stimulate reflection, encourage cross-sector collaboration and inspire institutions and professionals to transform European commitments into local action and shared mobilisation during EUPHW.
