ENBEL conference

#ENBEL2025 16-18 October 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia

The second edition of our transdisciplinary conference on Connecting Health and Climate Change #ENBEL (Enhancing Belmont Research Action to support EU policy making on climate change and health) provides an arena to present research findings and discuss climate change effects on health, adaptation, societal consequences and opportunities for climate resilient development.

The European Network on Climate and Health Education (ENCHE) is working in close coordination with the GCCHE as a regional network and aims to equip the next generation of medics with the knowledge and insights to deliver sustainable healthcare practices and support the transition to patient-centric, net-zero health systems. Glasgow University is extending an invitation to Europe-based universities to join the network. The ENCHE aims to upskill future medics by convening a network of interested faculty staff across Europe to support effective and inspiring teaching for students; share best practices (incl. curricula) across leading universities; and connect leaders in their field from within and beyond academia to enable the latest information to be exchanged with students and staff alike.

BEST-COST workshop

As part of the project EU-funded research project BEST-COST the Swiss Tropical and Public Health institute organizes two online workshops for a newly developed software called healthiar, which allows users to quantify and monetize the burden of disease or health impacts attributable to environmental exposures (air pollution & noise). healthiar is written for the programming languages R and will later also run in Python.
