Roundtable summit on Ethics, values and law for good public health practice and policy 

There are plans for an roundtable summit on Ethics, values and law for good public health practice and policy on 18th June 2025, at Royal College of Physicians in London. This is organised by European Public Health Association, Association Schools of Public health, Global Network for Academic public health and the Faculty of public health. The roundtable will consider the mission and mandate of public health; code of ethics and professional conduct; education and training; and development of community of learning to collaborate and take forward the issues. There will also be roundtable on moral distress and injury of public health workforce in Europe on 19th June.

Abstracts for EPH Conference Helsinki, Finland

The EUPHA Ethics in public health section is happy to support submission of abstracts and workshop proposals for the EPH Conference in Helsinki in November 2025. Public health ethics is a cross issue and we would encourage submission of proposals for the Conference considering ethics. The deadline for submissions is 1st May.

Call for papers: Ethics, values and law for public health in a world in turmoil

There are plans for a special supplement of the Journal of Public Health on ethics, values, and laws for building healthy communities in a world in turmoil.

Areas of particular interest will include:

  • The moral mandate of public health and implications for policy and practice
  • Building competence, capacity, and resilience of public health professionals and institutions
  • Ethics, values, laws, and governance for building healthy communities through organized efforts of society
  • Legal and ethical dimensions of climate change, conflict, migration and the polycrisis
  • Other areas which contribute to the discourse, scholarship and good courageous public health practice and policies in a world in turmoil
