Dear Section Members,

As 2024 draws to a close, we want to take a moment to reflect on our achievements, share upcoming opportunities, and extend our warmest festive wishes.

Success at the EPH Conference

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the European Public Health Conference in Lisbon, joined our workshops, and participated in the “Join the Network” meeting. Your active involvement made these events a resounding success. We are inspired by the enthusiasm and collaboration within our section, and we look forward to building on these fruitful discussions in the year ahead.

First Year of Webinar Series – A Milestone Achievement

We are thrilled to congratulate everyone on the successful conclusion of our first year of webinars! Over the past year, we’ve hosted insightful sessions from a diverse array of speakers, exploring critical aspects of chronic disease prevention, management, and care.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that our second year of the webinar series will kick off on 30th January 2025. There is one slot remaining for those wishing to present their work in the first half of the year.

If you are interested in showcasing your research or giving your students a platform to present, please contact Dr. Sarah Cuschieri, Vice-President and webinar organizer, at sarah.cuschieri@um.edu.mt as soon as possible.

You can watch past webinars in the EUPHA Resources Module. The module can be accessed through the link in your personal account! In the Module click on “EUPHA general resources” and proceed to the webinars folder.

Global IBD Project – Round Two

Our colleague, Virginia Solitano, is continuing her important work on the Global Agenda Prioritizing Research to Improve Management and Public Health Responses to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

We encourage public health professionals to support this initiative by completing the Round Two survey.
