This will be a unique opportunity for the scientific community to interact with local community organizations, and vice versa. Please find the details and a link to register below. 1. EUPHA-SGMH Satellite Community Event in Lisbon
First-ever EPH Satellite Event: “Queering health together – nothing for us without us” starring Dr. Seema Yasmin and You

For the first time in its history, the annual European Public Health Conference (EPH), organized by the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), is reaching out to local communities to listen, to empower, and to set a precedent. Join us for a panel discussion, Q&A, and a book signing in the historic centre of Lisbon, and help us shape the European queer (public) health of the future, together with a range of panelists from queer communities, including GAT Portugal. Your presence and voice count. Because queer health = public health = your health.
The event will be moderated by the renowned Dr. Seema Yasmin, an Emmy-award winning journalist, author, medical doctor and professor. She trained in medicine at the University of Cambridge and in journalism at the University of Toronto. One of her many inspiring books, “The ABCs of Queer History”, will be available to buy on site, and you can even get your copy signed!
