The European Burden of Disease Network (www.burden-eu.net) is pleased to announce three burden of disease summer schools, taking place in August in Ghent, Belgium. Each summer school offers standalone value, and is supported by experienced burden of disease researchers.

  1. General concepts of burden of disease: Introduction to the calculation and use of DALYs. 31 July – 2 August, 2024.

  2. Burden of risk factors: Learn how to go from burden to impact. 7-9 August, 2024.

  3. Burden of infectious diseases: Learn how to calculate DALYs for infectious diseases. 21-23 August, 2024.
