Dear Members and Friends of the Law and Public Health Section,

We hope that you are well.

Ahead of the 16^th European Public Health Conference, held at the Convention Centre in Dublin from 8 to 11 November, the Steering Committee is delighted to share with you the programme of events in which the Law Section is involved. A full list is available at the end of this email.

As you probably know, the theme of this year’s conference is ‘Our Food, Our Health, Our Earth: A Sustainable Future for Humanity’. This theme happens to relate closely to the expertise and interest of many of us who sit on the Section’s steering committee, and it explains – at least in part – why we have decided to organise and participate in a record number of sessions at the EPH this year. We hope that you all find something that is of interest to you.

We would also like to draw your attention to our annual Join The Network (JTN) meeting and urge you to come and join us to hear about the activities of the Law Section these past twelve months and reflect on our forthcoming activities. The Section is keen to support member-led events so we can, together, further diversify the range of our activities. The meeting will take place on Thursday 9 November from 12.50 to 13.50.

A draft annual section report can be downloaded here. Last year, our membership increased significantly after the JTN meeting, and we very much look forward to meeting you and other colleagues who may be thinking of joining the Section too. Please do spread the word.
