Dear colleagues and members of the EUPHA Foresight Section,

During our members’ meeting we have informed you about initiating a Steering Group (SG) for our section. EUPHA has given a guidance document for the functioning of such a SG. Most important aspects (e.g. profile, tasks and roles) are listed below. The full version of the SG-terms of reference can be found in the Section Council-part of the EUPHA resources module (in the folder ‘Templates’)

We want to invite you to express your interest in becoming a SG member to support us in achieving our section objectives. Please send an email before the 1^st of October with your background and motivation to henk.hilderink@rivm.nl.

We want initiate the Steering Group in October and meet at the EPH in Dublin 2023

The EUPHA Foresight Section wants to actively bring together professionals, experts, and policy makers to share their knowledge and experiences in Foresight.

The Steering Group members:

• support the section President and vice-President(s) in their section work
• safeguard the scientific quality and integrity
• Are appointed byy section president for three years
• Have a diverse representation, including a young professional
• Are active in the field of public health and foresight, and committed to EUPHA
• Have at least two Steering Group meetings, mostly virtual
