Dear EUPHA-MIG Section Members,

FIRST OF ALL LET TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO WISH ALL OF YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The last couple of years have been challenging in different ways for all so I wish that 2022 will bring respite in particular for those who need it most.

I am  pleased to share with you that   our EUPHA Section working group on “the economic argument” is planning a webinar April 28, at 13:00-15:30 CET on migration, health and economics. The goal of this initiative is to:

  1. a) map the existing evidence on the interrelations between migration, health and economics,
  2. b) identify research gaps,
  3. c) develop solutions to methodological challenges, and
  4. c) facilitate interdisciplinary synthesis and exchange.

We would like to invite all members of the EUPHA Section on Migration, Ethnicity and Health engaged in this topic to contribute by sending an abstract as indicated in the attached call no later than February 15.

PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED CALL HERE.

I would like to commend the working group for their work and for  setting the ball rolling with activities for this year.

Best from Bernadette
