Institute of Public Health of Sabac

The Institute of Public Health of Sabac (IPHS)  belongs to the Public Health (PH) institutions that provide health care of special interest to society in the territory of the Macva district in Serbia.

Our institution is a leader in the promotion and improvement of PH in Serbia, the coordination of the work of health institutions and the harmonization and improvement of intersectoral cooperation in local municipalities.

The Mission of the IPHS  is the assessment of the health status of the population, the detection of risk factors in the community, health culture and health education, as well as the identification and quantification of risks in the environment, monitoring of water and air, the hygienic correctness of food and foodstuffs of general use, in accordance with the laws in the field  of health care and other areas that can affect the quality of life.

The Vision of the IPHS is healthy people in healthy and greener municipalities of the Macva district and Serbia.

The institute is EUPHA members since August 2023.
